The most mobile pin solution
Traditional POS systems are often cumbersome, expensive and not mobile at all. Rabobank’s solution offers the flexibility to accept payments on the go so users never miss a sale. Initially the solution was a bluetooth pin terminal, but thanks to "Tap to Pay" business owners can accept contactless debit payments anywhere.
A complete solution
In addition to processing PIN payments, SmartPin has a host of other features such as the ability to receive payments with (contactless) debit card or Apple Pay, accepting cash payments, and receiving payments with iDeal and QR codes. Users can create and share payment requests, add gratuity, and make split payments. Operationally users can connect receipt printers and product scanners to the app via Bluetooth. They can also email, print and share receipts plus create and categorize frequently sold products in product management. Viewing and exporting revenue statements is simplified and there is shared use of the app thanks to simple role structure.
Tap to Pay for iPhone: A new standard
One of the newest additions to the app is "Tap to Pay”. This innovative feature allows payments to be accepted by simply holding a contactless card (or an NFC-equipped smartphone or smartwatch) against an iPhone. This eliminates the need for a Rabo Pinbox or other physical device, making the payment experience even faster and easier. Ideal for business owners who are often on the road or selling their products on location.
SmartPin for tablets
SmartPin is used by many business owners as a full-fledged POS system on tablets. In supermarkets business owners put all their products into the system, making it easy to process payments and keep track of inventory. The ability to link product scanners and receipt printers via Bluetooth makes the system complete and efficient for daily use.
