A digital airport experience that starts at home

Introduced in 2024, the MyDFW account functionality for app and web has transformed parking into a simple, user-friendly process. Travelers can manage their bookings, store license plates and payment details, and complete reservations securely without being redirected to external pages. With a QR code or toll tag, entry to parking areas is quick and hassle-free. Users can even save their parking spot in the app, making it easy to locate their vehicle later. Choosing to share data with DFW enables users to enjoy tailored communications with parking-related discounts and specials.

Security lines can sometimes grow long, but congestion at one checkpoint does not always mean others are equally busy. Together with DFW, we developed the live security checkpoint wait times feature. DFW is the first airport to offer real-time updates for all checkpoints and all lanes, ensuring app users can identify the fastest option. In addition to real-time updates, the app provides predictive wait times, allowing passengers to estimate how long they might spend in line. Based on these predictions, the app recommends the optimal checkpoint and an ideal arrival time 24 hours in advance.

In 2023, we launched the DFW Airport shuttle tracker, a real-time tool that allows travelers to monitor shuttle services. Travelers can easily access the tracker via the app, DFW website, or by scanning QR codes at shuttle stops. Designed primarily for the Terminal Link shuttle connecting the airport’s five terminals, the system provides GPS-based updates on arrival times and scheduled stops. This reduces wait times and enhances the travel experience with timely and accurate updates. In 2024, we expanded the Shuttle Tracker with routes to parking facilities. Further expansions, including routes serving car rental services, will follow soon.
