EasyToys, a leading e-commerce platform specializing in sexual wellness and a white label of EQOM Group, is renowned for its inclusive approach, catering to a diverse audience while breaking taboos surrounding sexual health and intimacy. For this innovative brand, we developed the EasyConnect app, enabling seamless remote control of smart toys via Bluetooth. This ambitious project not only enhanced the user experience for EasyToys’ customers but also played a pivotal role in the brand’s digital transformation—taking both EasyToys and EQOM’s other white labels to new heights.

Our pinkest design yet

One app, one hand, one goal

The EasyConnect app is thoughtfully designed for effortless, one-handed use—and for those feeling adventurous—even with eyes closed. With a phone in one hand and a toy in the other, users simply activate Bluetooth pairing to get started. To keep the experience as seamless as possible, we placed key features within easy thumb’s reach. With their free hand, users can explore nine pre-programmed vibration patterns. The Free Touch Canvas empowers users to create custom patterns by moving the cursor across the canvas—up and down for intensity, left and right for intervals. Once the perfect rhythm is found, it can be saved under ‘My Highlights’ for future enjoyment.

Exciting first times

At Framna, connecting apps, SDKs, and Bluetooth devices is second nature. Yet, this project brought two exciting firsts. To enable seamless communication between the app and the toy, we developed a custom BLE protocol from the ground up, working closely with EQOM's hardware supplier to integrate it into the toy's chips. Our developers also built an SDK from scratch to handle all app-to-toy communication. This SDK became the foundation of the entire codebase, which we later adapted for EasyToys' German sister company, AMORELIE, and British sister company Nexus. Same core functionality, uniquely tailored design.

Long Range Play lets you securely share control of your toy worldwide.

Long Range Play

The Long Range Play feature enables users to securely hand over control of their toy to someone else, no matter the distance. And when we say long range, we mean global. By combining Bluetooth control with real-time network communication powered by SSE (Server-Sent Events) within the HTTP/2 protocol, EasyConnect creates an instant global connection for multiplayer experiences. Sharing control is simple—just send a ‘magic link’ that opens the EasyConnect app on the recipient's device or directs them to the Play/App Store to download it. Once connected, they can control the toy, with no onboarding or complications. When the session ends, or if the user decides to stop, they can pause or terminate the connection at any time, ensuring they remain in full control.
