The Club Matas app, the natural entry point for beauty and wellbeing inspiration.
Two years of partnership, one ambition
For close to two years, Framna and Matas have worked as ongoing partners on the Club Matas app, spanning strategy, user insight, UX and UI design, and iOS and Android development. The partnership has covered nearly every layer of the product, from translating brand strategy and user research into experience design through to the app's relaunch in July 2026. The ambition has stayed the same: making Club Matas the natural entry point for beauty and wellbeing inspiration, not just the place people go to check out.
Club Matas is Denmark's largest loyalty program in beauty and wellbeing, with more than 2 million members. The app already drives over 30 percent of Matas' total online revenue, more than 600 million DKK a year, but its role stopped at the transaction. Members were finding inspiration on social platforms first and opening the app only when they were ready to buy. Expectations, especially among younger Gen Z members, had shifted toward personalized, visual, feed-based discovery. And Matas owned a large volume of content that lived across separate channels rather than inside the product members actually used to shop.
Recognition
A scroll-native feed members already know
From inspiration to cart in a few taps
Personalized by a recommendation engine
A personal feed, built to convert
A feed built for how people already browse
The new content feed brings Club Matas into a format members already know from Instagram and TikTok: an endless, scrollable stream of curated content in place of a static shop window. Social posts, Stories, articles, Matas LIVES and trends live side by side in one native mobile experience, so the app feels current on every visit rather than the same fixed homepage.
From inspiration to cart in a few taps
Every piece of content in the feed connects directly to relevant products through dynamic tagging. Members move from a beauty tip or a trend straight to the product, and into the basket, without leaving the feed. Content and commerce sit inside the same flow instead of functioning as separate steps in the journey.
Personalization powered by a recommendation engine
A recommendation engine tailors the feed to each member's behavior, preferences and life stage, so a trend-driven Gen Z member and a routine-based regular shopper each see content that's actually relevant to them. The more a member uses the app, the more precisely the feed reflects what they're looking for.
Curated, not just automated
All content in the feed, including content submitted by members, passes through an approval process before it appears. That keeps the experience trustworthy and on-brand, and keeps the feed rooted in Matas' role as an advisor on beauty and wellbeing rather than a channel chasing engagement for its own sake.
A personal archive that brings members back
Members can save content to revisit later, turning one-off inspiration into a growing, private collection. It's a small mechanic with an outsized effect on return visits — encouraging exactly the habitual, low-friction browsing a feed format is built to support.
A new channel for brand and partner activation
Beyond individual members, the feed doubles as a flexible retail media platform. Matas can activate brands, launch new products and support campaigns directly inside a relevant, high-engagement context — opening a new revenue stream on top of the engagement gains.

“Together with Framna, we re-launched the Matas app and developed a brand new, personalized inspiration feed. We've felt very confident in the collaboration, and the deliveries have been professional and on time. It's genuinely great working with the team at Framna.”
