Elderly patients and the ones living with chronic conditions need regular medical care. Yet getting a doctor’s appointment quickly is not always simple. MedKitDoc set out to change that by connecting patients with remote specialists. For many users, this is not just convenient. It is their only reliable access to a doctor.

Ending the guesswork in telehealth

Across Germany, thousands of care home residents depend on regular medical oversight, yet most have no immediate access to a doctor. Nurses are on site around the clock, but clinical decisions require a physician. That gap is exactly where MedKitDoc makes its biggest impact.


Together with our partner, we set out to build more than another telemedicine product. We designed for the reality on the ground: remote doctors supported by trained nurses at the patient's side, backed by the data they need to make confident decisions. Medical devices, software, and specialist expertise, integrated into a single workflow built around the care home setting.


During a consultation, a nurse assists the patient in measuring vital sign - heart rhythm, temperature, blood pressure, using certified devices available on site. That data streams to the doctor in real time via the app, alongside a live video call. The result: treatment decisions grounded in verifiable clinical data and direct conversation, not assumptions.


MedKitDoc quickly became a trusted partner for care homes, the environment it was designed for. The solution has since been adopted by one of Germany's largest care home networks.
