Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat, delivering fossil-free energy to homes, businesses, and industries across multiple markets.

As energy prices became harder to predict, Vattenfall saw a growing need to help people better understand what their electricity actually cost and why. This led to the creation of Mitt Vattenfall, a mobile app designed for conscious energy use.

Understanding electricity use

Electricity data is complex by nature. Prices change throughout the day, consumption patterns are hard to spot, and invoices rarely explain what actually happened. Mitt Vattenfall brings prices, consumption, and costs together in one place.

Instead of raw numbers, people see clear visual overviews that make it easy to understand when energy is used, what drives costs, and how usage changes over time. Hourly price and usage insights, combined with clear consumption and cost graphs, turn electricity from something abstract into something you can actually follow.

Data visualization sits at the core of the app experience. Consumption and cost data are translated into clear, easy-to-read graphs that make patterns visible over time. Instead of scanning tables or invoices, people can quickly see how their energy use changes throughout the day, when costs increase, and what drives their electricity bill. Subtle animations and visual cues guide attention and improve readability, helping users understand complex information at a glance.
