The AI software factory behind the checkout.
How Framna and Store Lens put Claude to work across development, testing and operations of H&M Group's point-of-sale platform.

Store Lens builds the point-of-sale platform used across H&M Group's brands, self-checkout, mobile POS and cashier registers running in hundreds of stores in tens of markets. It's software that has to work every day, in every store, under fiscal rules that differ per country. Together with Store Lens, Framna has built something we believe in deeply: an AI-assisted way of working where agents do production work in the pipeline, and people steer and judge.

The solution is built on Claude, Anthropic's AI model family, running as Claude Code agents in Store Lens's cloud CI, connected through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to the systems the team already uses: Azure DevOps, Firebase Crashlytics and production telemetry.

An AI colleague on the night shift

Claude agents operate in the background triaging the board, analysing new crash reports and work on ticket that are ready for AI, each one delivered as a pull request that has already passed tests and AI review. Developers judge and merge. Hands off, eyes on.

Testing like a shopper

Agents writes test cases in plain English, reviewed by humans. For each case, a Claude agent drives the real self-checkout app on an Android emulator, scanning, paying, removing items, and verifies the outcome from what's actually on screen, delivering a strict pass/fail verdict with screenshot evidence. Regression testing now runs on demand instead of waiting for a tester with a device.

Answers where the team already works

With the system connected to Slack, anyone can @-mention the team's Claude-powered bot with a plain-language question. Getting answers around functionality or analytics that the apps produce has never been easier.

Knowledge that keeps itself current

A version-controlled knowledge base gives every agent the same context the team has, architecture, fiscal rules and conventions. Claude keeps it fresh by crawling internal wikis weekly, and maintains the product's user manuals with screenshots rendered straight from the apps. Documentation became a by-product of building.

People steer, agents work

Nothing ships without a human decision. Agents run in isolated cloud environments with scoped credentials, every change passes quality gates before a person sees it, and a developer always reviews and merges. That's the method: encode the team's standards once, and let Claude apply them on every ticket.
